Biographical Info I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC#19891) and hold a graduate degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I gained my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I feel it would be an honor to walk beside you on your path to healing. I believe every client is an individual and accept them where they are and join with them thenceforth. I conceptualize and understand my clients mainly working from a Person-Centered (PC) approach, which means I use a non-judgmental, curious and compassionate approach to support my clients. Using the PC approach, my role is to walk beside you in your journey, while providing you a safe space. At the same time, I also explore with you whatever questions or thoughts you have about your life and your concerns. However, at the same time, I am a big follower of attachment theory. Thus, my idea of therapy is not to stay within the confines of just one or two theories. This makes me think of my true role of supporting my clients in their growth, which is by meeting them where they are and I perform that role by bringing in my authentic presence. Further, as I believe in the uniqueness of every client, I am very open to taking an eclectic therapeutic approach. Thus, as per the need of an individual, I borrow techniques from Person-Centred (PC), Attachment-Focused (AF), Adlerian, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Flash techniques. I am also trained in numerous Play Therapy approaches, to help our younger population. As we know children and adolescents do not have a real language to verbalize their worries and challenges, therefore we need the language of play-based techniques to help them in overcoming their emotional psychological and mental health challenges. By making use of play therapy techniques, we can achieve those goals. I specialize in anxiety, depression and grief, chronic pain, eating disorders, addictions and transition issues. I have been working closely with trauma and relationship issues too. My past experiences have also provided me with the opportunity of working with toddlers and infants. In my journey of healing people, I have also been fortunate to help clients with neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental disorders and have played an active role in being an advocate to support my clients holistically. If you would like to know me and understand my process of helping my clients, you would need to get in touch. My initial intake consult of 15 minutes is free of cost.
